2nd Annual “Stuff the Backpack” Campaign
On Friday, August 13th the Brigade Boys & Girls Club distributed backpacks and school supplies to Club members in need as part of its annual “Stuff the Backpack” campaign. In addition, through a grant with First Book, each child also received 2-3 books to take home.
Thanks to generous dontions from the community, the Brigade distributed a record-setting 130 backpacks! A special thanks to RE/MAX Essential, the campaign’s largest supporter, who also helped distribute the backpacks to Club members. Other community sponsors include Wilmington Police Department, Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Keller Williams Realty, Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty, Osprey Landing Apartments, First Citizens Bank, Monarch Mortgage, New Hanover County Sheriff’s Department and Salling & Tate Dentistry.
