Breakfast at the Kids Table raises $25,000!
On August 18th the Brigade Boys & Girls Club held its third annual “Breakfast at the Kids Table” at the Cape Fear Country Club. The event was a huge success as over 175 guests attended the event and helped raise $25,000 for the Club!
The event, sponsored by U.S. Cellular, is an opportunity to raise awareness of the Club to the community as well as to celebrate the accomplishments of our members. Club members participated in this event including emcee duties by Kenney P. and Brittany B., a debut performance by our Teen Choir and members who ate breakfast with the community leaders.
This year’s guest speaker was UNCW Men’s Basketball Coach Buzz Peterson, who addressed the crowd about the importance of youth staying in school and having good character.
